This beautifully renovated and furnished Farmhouse originally from 1790 lies in a small village only 10 minutes from both Maubourguet & Lembeye for a variety of shops and restaurants, plus weekly markets.

The property offers 4 or 5 bedroom accommodation and is set in landscaped gardens of approximately 1 acre with far reaching views across the countryside and views of the Pyrénées on a clear day. The entrance doors lead to the hallway, to the right of which is the well furnished sitting room with satellite TV. To the left is the large dining room with exposed beams and impressive fireplace. Two steps lead down to the well equipped kitchen with large double window which opens onto the outside dining terrace. Also on the ground floor there is a spacious utility room and separate guest w.c. From the entrance hallway the original wooden curved staircase leads to the first floor, where there are four bedrooms. The large master suite has kingsize bed and large en-suite bathroom and the second kingsize bedroom also has en-suite facilities. Bedroom three and four both have twin beds (which can be made into superkings), one with separate bathroom and one with en-suite facilities. All bedrooms have been furnished to a very high standard with quality linen throughout. Across the courtyard adjacent to the main house there is a self contained 1 bedroom guest cottage available in high season. The ground floor is a large open plan living area with large dining table, sitting/TV area with fireplace, corner kitchen with sink, gas hob, dishwasher & fridge/freezer. The grounds have approx 1 acre of lawns with shrubs and fruit trees (with fields and woods beyond). The large swimming pool faces west so has the sun on it all day and has a paved terrace for sunbathing with a wooden pergola at one end for shade and lovely views across the valley. There is a further large covered terrace which stretches along the entire rear of the house, ideal for al fresco dining with large table seating 10. All in all a beautiful property with all the necessary facilities for a relaxing holiday.

Locally

There are 2 local towns, Lembeye and Maubourguet, each about 10 minutes away. Both provide good food shopping, as well as a large supermarket, and weekly markets selling a variety of delicious local produce. There are a number of cafés and bars, where you can sit outside with a coffee or a glass of wine, and also a choice of restaurants.

The historic town of Pau is only 45 minutes away and Toulouse only 90 minutes, so access by both plane & train is easy and quick.

The Pyrénées are an hour away and Biarritz and the Atlantic coast can be reached in under 2 hours.
