Located just 5kms from the pretty 'bastide' village of Miélan, where you will find shops, bakery, restaurants, cafes, wine caves, weekly market and tourist office. You can fish in the nearby river Baïse and play golf at Chateau de Pallanne, a superb course with views of the Pyrenees. There are many stunning Châteaux in the area, including Lavardens, which regularly features musical evenings. Lourdes is approx 45 mins away and well worth a visit - not only is it one of the worlds most important Christian pilgrimage sites but it also has one of the largest aquariums in Europe. Or if you fancy a day trip to Spain Biarritz is within a 2 hour drive. Festivals in the area include the Country Music Festival in July and the famous Marciac Jazz festival in August.
