Summary

This unusual village house is built into the ramparts of the picturesque fortified village of Romieu and is within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and public swimming pool. Dominating the centre of the village is the magnificent 13C Church, where a fascinating guided tour should not be missed.

Stone steps lead to the pretty courtyard where the entrance door opens into the spacious, well equipped kitchen / dining room. Also on this floor is a cloakroom with separate guest WC. There is an exterior covered stairway leading to the first floor where the door opens into the sitting room, with comfortable furnishings and wood burning stove. There is also a bedroom with twin beds and a separate shower room with WC. A stairway leads to the second floor where there is a spacious landing/bedroom providing twin beds and a further pretty double bedroom with exposed beams.

Outside a small terrace overlooks the boules court and the private courtyard has a pretty terrace, ideal for ‘Al Fresco’ dining. Please note that this property is not suitable for small children or reduced mobility visitors, due to the nature of the stairs. It is, however, an excellent location within striking distance of all amenities, including the public pool.
